Using the Analytics Dashboard
LiFi’s Analytics Dashboard is your command center for exploring and understanding your browsing data. This page explains each tab in the dashboard and shows you how to apply these insights to improve your focus, productivity, and privacy.
Overview Tab
The Overview tab provides a quick snapshot of your browsing habits. It summarizes key metrics such as:
Total time spent online
Number of sites visited
Productivity score (work vs entertainment)
Privacy risk indicators
Use this tab to get an immediate sense of your overall browsing patterns and identify areas to improve.
History Tab
The History tab shows a detailed, chronological record of all your browsing sessions. Features include:
Search and filter by date, site, or activity type
View exact timestamps for visits
Track session durations and revisit frequency
This view helps you understand how your daily habits evolve and where time is being spent.
Analytics Tab
Here you find per-site engagement data including:
Total time spent on each website
Number of visits and sessions
Interaction intensity (clicks, scrolls)
This tab allows you to identify which sites capture most of your attention and assess whether they contribute to your productivity or distractions.
Searches Tab
The Searches tab logs all your search queries, along with:
The search engine or platform used
Timestamps for each query
Contextual data such as the page where the search was made
Analyzing your search behavior helps you detect patterns, optimize research habits, and avoid redundant searches.
Interactions Tab
This tab breaks down user engagement with:
Clicks on meaningful elements like buttons and links
Scroll depth milestones
Hover events and form submissions
Understanding your interaction patterns reveals how actively you engage with content and where you might be wasting time.
Cookies Tab
The Cookies tab gives you insight into cookie usage, showing:
Cookies set by each visited domain
Third-party cookie presence and privacy risks
Changes in cookie settings during sessions
Monitoring cookies helps you stay aware of tracking activity and manage your online privacy proactively.
Applying Your Insights
The data in the dashboard is most valuable when used to take action. Here are some ways to apply your insights:
Improve Focus
Identify distracting sites in Analytics tab and limit visits.
Limit Time on Distractors
Set personal alerts based on time spent per site (use Popup UI).
Track Productivity Goals
Monitor Overview and Analytics tabs to measure work vs leisure.
Monitor Privacy and Data Usage
Use Cookies tab to spot and block third-party trackers.
